Q: What age is the Infinity Racer magnetic train set for?
A: It's designed for ages 3–12, and that's where most kids get the most out of it — old enough to build the 3D layouts independently, young enough to be delighted by a train that drives upside down. Older kids (9–12) still enjoy building the more complex multi-level layouts, especially with the Extra Large track. We don't recommend it for under-3s because the set contains small magnetic parts.

Q: How does the train stay on the track when it's upside down?
A: Magnets. Each track cube contains a magnetic connector, and the train's chassis is magnetised to match — so it grips the rail rather than just resting on it. That's what lets it climb vertical sections, run sideways and hang inverted through a 360° loop without falling off. It's also why the track doesn't pop apart mid-race the way clip-together plastic track does.

The Sky-High Bridge and Rocking Bridge add-on sets extend an existing layout without needing a second full kit. Most families start with a Small set and expand from there.

Q: Is this a good gift for a 5-year-old?
A: It's one of the strongest ages for it. A 5-year-old can build simple loops unaided and will spend a long time experimenting with what the train can and can't climb — which is genuinely early physics, though they'll just think it's fun. For a 4-year-old, expect to build the first few layouts together.
